Plumber Traralgon East

Traralgon East runs out along the Princes Highway from the CBD — Stockdale Road, the larger blocks, the newer estates mixed with highway commercial. It is a different job to the CBD laneways: bigger lots, newer plumbing, and access on the highway rather than the Franklin Street rear lanes.

The east-side stock

Traralgon East is a mix — the newer estates with full PVC and HDPE, modern continuous-flow gas hot water, and larger stormwater systems, alongside older east-side stock with copper and early PVC that is now cracking and sagging. The job changes with the era: a new-estate call is often a hot water lockout or a stormwater sag; an older east-side call is a blocked drain or a burst on an exposed run.

New-estate hot water and gas

The newer estates out east favour continuous-flow gas hot water, and the calls are lockouts — flame failure, ignition fault, a dirty burner that has not been serviced. We service, repair and replace continuous-flow units, commission them properly, and issue the Energy Safe Victoria compliance paperwork. Gas cookers and space heaters in the new estates are Type A gas work, and we size the gas line to the full connected load.

Stormwater on bigger lots

The bigger east-side lots mean longer stormwater runs, and a long run that sags or silts will back up at the first heavy rain. We regrade the lines, add pits where the run is long, and connect the downpipes to a stormwater line that actually runs. On the larger blocks, tank and pump work for garden irrigation is more common, and we set that up so it does not backfeed into the house supply.

Blocked drains on the older east-side stock

The older east-side stock has the early PVC and copper that is now failing — root intrusion at the joints, sags, and the occasional collapsed section. We jet the line, run CCTV where it keeps blocking, and tell you whether a localised repair, a patch, or a line replacement is the right spend. We do not name other plumbing depots; we just do the work.

Highway commercial

Along the Princes Highway through Traralgon East there is highway commercial and light industrial — the plumbing is bigger bore, the fittings take more punishment, and access is from the highway, not the laneways. We work the supply, the waste, the roof water and the gas, and we keep the business running while we do it where possible.
