Why a guide, not a fixed menu
A plumbing price depends on the access, the material, the time of day, and what we actually find when we get there — a blocked drain that jets clear in twenty minutes is a different job to one that needs CCTV and a dig-up. A fixed menu either overcharges the simple job or underquotes the hard one. We give you a band up front so you know the likely range, and a written quote once we have seen the job so you know the real price before we start.
After-hours and emergency
After-hours and emergency work carries a surcharge — commonly 50–100% above the standard rate, highest on Sundays and Victorian public holidays. We will tell you on the phone whether your job genuinely needs an after-hours call or can safely wait until morning, because an after-hours call-out on a job that could wait is money spent for no reason. We do not run a 24/7 roster and we will not pretend to.
How to get a real quote
Call 0407 977 529 and tell us what is happening, where, and whether you have isolated at the meter. For a non-urgent job, send a request through the form on this page with the suburb and a short description, and we will call you back with a quote. We do not use email — the phone is the fastest way to a real price.
What changes the price
- Access — a drain under a concrete driveway costs more than one under a lawn.
- Time of day — after-hours, Sundays and public holidays carry a surcharge.
- Material — terracotta and galvanised take longer to work than PVC and PEX.
- What we find — a jet-and-go is a different job to a CCTV-and-dig-up.
- Parts — a generic cartridge is cheaper than a brand-matched one, and we will tell you the difference.
